Anne Schmidt (*1990, Germany) is multimedia artist and auto-fictional writer. She lives and works in Vienna.
She graduated from the University of Leipzig with B.A. degree in Sociology and Crime Studies, and from the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna with M.A. degree in Fine Arts, receiving honors and the Kunsthalle Wien Prize. Additionally, she completed the postgraduate program Maumaus ISP in Lisbon.
Currently, she is a scholar in the Mentoring Program at the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna. She has also received the Startstipendium for media art from the Federal Ministry for Culture, as well as a stipend for her first novel from the Cultural Department of the City of Vienna.
Her work has been exhibited in notable venues such as the Ludwig Collection at the Museum for Modern Art (MUMOK), Belvedere21 Museum for Contemporary Art, and Kunsthalle in Vienna, as well as at various fairs and international exhibitions in Italy, the Netherlands, Germany, Iran, and Switzerland.
Her works can be found in national and private collections.
