Anne Schmidt (*1990, Germany) is multimedia artist and auto-fictional writer. She lives and works in Vienna.

She studied sociology and politics at University Leipzig, crime studies at Teesside University in Middlesbrough, and fine arts with a focus on sculpture, performance, abstract painting, art theory, and cultural studies at the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna. In 2020, she completed the postgraduate program Maumaus ISP in Lisbon.

Currently, she is a scholar in the Mentoring Program at the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna. She has also received the Startssipenidum for media art from the Federal Ministry for Culture, as well as a stipend for her first novel from the City of Vienna.

Her work has been exhibited in notable venues such as the Ludwig Collection at the Museum for Modern Art (MUMOK), Belvedere21 Museum for Contemporary Art, and Kunsthalle in Vienna, as well as at various fairs and international exhibitions in Italy, the Netherlands, Germany, Iran, and Switzerland.


Her works can be found in several national and private collections.
